The Teaching & Learning Advisory Council (TLAC) is the formal advisory group for District 110, whose purpose is to review and advise on K–12 curriculum prior to presentation to the Board of Education.

The secondary function of the TLAC is to be informed of and provide feedback to the Director of Educational Services related to:

  • K–12 programming model
  • District strategic planning
  • Staff Development
  • Testing and assessment
Meeting Norms
  • All opinions are valued.
  • All views are presented respectfully.
  • Participation by all is encouraged.
  • Issues and topics will be discussed. People will not be discussed.
  • Meetings will be held to 90 minutes.
  • Consensus* is the basis for making recommendations.

*Consensus is a method by which an entire group can come to an agreement based on the current information available. Through consensus, we are working to achieve better solutions and promote the growth of educational programs and student achievement.

  • Four to five meetings will be scheduled each year.
