To help ensure the safety of our students and staff and to give maintenance crews additional time to clear roadways, Waconia Public Schools will have a two-hour late start on Thursday, February 19.
Under the two-hour late start, buses will pick students up exactly two hours later than their normally scheduled times, though delays are possible. Bayview, Laketown and Southview Elementary Schools will start school at 9:55 a.m.; Waconia Middle School and Waconia High School will start at 10:30 a.m.
Morning Wildcat Preschool, ECFE and ECSE classes are canceled, while afternoon classes are currently on as scheduled. KidSpace childcare will open at 8:00 a.m. at the three elementary schools and the Educational Services Center. All after school athletics and activities are currently on as scheduled. Afternoon Community Education events, classes and practices are also on as scheduled.
