STEDI SubSkills Online Training Program 

Waconia Public Schools has instituted an online substitute teacher training program for interested candidates that do not hold a Minnesota teaching license or a short call substitute license, but have earned a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.  The training program was created by the Utah State University Substitute Teaching Institute and is available for both new and experienced substitute teachers to improve their teaching skills.
 
The cost of the online training course is $39.95 and is payable to STEDI online via credit card.
 
The online course includes approximately 8-10 hours of interactive training covering such areas as:  1) Teaching Strategies; 2) Classroom Management; 3) Special Education; 4) Being Prepared and Professional, and; 5) Appropriate Use of Fill-in Activities.
 

To Purchase the STEDI Online SubSkills Training Program

Go to STEDI.org

  1. Select “Purchase Training”
  2. Choose the “SubSkills Online Training Course” and “Add to Cart”
  3. Review your order and click “Proceed to Checkout”
  4. Please complete the requested information and remember to select Waconia Public Schools as your District
  5. Be sure to read the Terms and Conditions and check the box to confirm that you have done so
  6. Once you have finalized your  transaction, you will be able to immediately begin your training by clicking Go To Course
  7. You may come and go as you please by clicking Course Login from the STEDI.org homepage
  8. When you have completed the training and achieved the required 85% composite score on your SubAssessments, a SubDiploma will be available to print or email.
