Four Waconia High School choir students have earned All-State recognition from the Minnesota Music Educators Association (MMEA).
Julian Riemer (Soprano Alto Choir-Soprano II), Emma James (Vocal Alternate-Soprano I), Charles Swift (Tenor Bass Choir-Tenor II), and Ayla Sufka (Soprano Alto Choir-Sorprano II) were selected to participate in the All-State Choir program.
Students in high school bands, choirs, and orchestras across the state audition for an All-State spot in March. Judges listen to the students, evaluating them on their overall musicianship and technique. In mid-April, the MMEA All-State Committee chooses the final rosters.
