Back in 2009, ISD 110 started recognizing outstanding employees through the Essence Awards as a way to recognize the dedicated and skilled teachers and staff who are passionate about educating kids and helping them grow socially and emotionally. The Essence Awards were also created to celebrate those employees behind the scenes – people who may not otherwise receive much public recognition. These are the employees who work day after day to continue building the vibrant learning community we have here at Waconia Public Schools.
