How to Register

Register early—classes fill quickly. Please register at least one week prior to the start date of class so we can make class enrollment decisions. We will accept registrations as long as there is class space available.

Assume the class will be held at the time and place indicated, and assume that you are enrolled unless you hear differently.

Listed below are various ways in which you can register for classes. We do not accept registrations or reserve spots by phone.

By Mail 
Complete a registration form and mail it with your check, money order, or credit card number and expiration date to: Community Education, 516 Industrial Boulevard, Waconia, MN 55387.

Walk-In 
Visit the Community Education office located at 516 Industrial Boulevard, Waconia, MN 55387.

Directions: From Highway 5, go south on County Road 32; then turn east onto Industrial Boulevard. The Community Education office is located in the second building on your left.

Office Hours: Monday-Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Summer Hours: Monday-Thursday: 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

By Fax
Fill out a registration form, including your credit card number, expiration date, and signature, and fax it to (952) 442-0619.

Refunds/Cancellations

Notification to the Community Education office at least six working days or more prior to the start of the class/program is necessary to receive a full refund/credit (less a $10 processing fee). No refunds or credits will be issued for vacation, illness, or injury.

  • Early Childhood & Family Education: A full refund is issued for cancellations before the session begins, minus a $10 processing fee. After the first week, refunds are prorated. There are no refunds midway through a session or for missed class days. Refunds for Special Events will only be given with a five-day advance notice.

  • Kids' Company: The registration fee is nonrefundable. For more information, visit the Kids' Company site.

  • Wildcat Preschool: The registration and supply fees are nonrefundable. Class cancellations need to be received in the Community Education office two weeks prior to withdrawal or participant will be required to pay the difference.

  • Behind the Wheel: A $25 fee is assessed for canceling from the program.

Baseball/Softball/Soccer Refunds/Cancellations

All refunds/credits for cancellations received prior to cancellation deadlines are subject to a $10 processing fee. No refunds or credits will be issued for vacation, illness, or injury.

  • MYSA Soccer: A full refund will be given minus a $10 processing fee from Feb. 9 - March 5. After March 5 no refunds will be given.
  • Local Baseball & Softball Leagues: No refund after the coaches meetings have been held. (These dates are listed in the Sports Brochure.)
  • Metro Baseball: A full refund will be given minus $25 (processing fee and tryout fee) from Jan. 5–16. After Jan. 16 no refunds will be given. 
  • Local Soccer Leagues: No refund after the coaches meetings have been held. (These dates are listed in the Sports Brochure.)

  • 12 & Under/14 & Under/16 & Under/18 & Under Suburban Fastpitch League Softball: A full refund will be given minus $25 (processing fee and tryout fee) from Jan. 5–16. After Jan. 16 no refunds will be given.

Basketball

All refunds/credits for cancellations received prior to deadlines are subject to a $10 processing fee. No refunds or credits will be issued for vacation, illness or injury.
 

  • Grade 3 & 4 and 5 & 6: No refunds after coaches meetings have been held.
  • Grade 1 & 2: No refunds after the registration deadline.

  • Wrestling: No refunds after parent meeting and first practice has been held.

Football

All refunds/credits for cancellations received prior to cancellation deadlines are subject to a $10 processing fee. No refunds or credits will be issued for vacation, illness, or injury.

  • No refunds after coaches meetings have been held.
