Weekly Classes for Parents of 2 - 5 Year Olds

Each class includes:
• Parent–Child Time—Parents and children explore age-appropriate activities designed to enhance learning. Parents gain new ideas for things to do together at home with their children. This time includes a group “Circle Time” of songs and games.
• Parent Education—Licensed parent educators provide resources and guide group discussions about child development, parenting techniques, and current issues concerning today’s families.
• Children's Classroom—During parent discussion, children play and learn in a stimulating and caring environment with licensed early childhood teachers. They enjoy music, stories, group games, and creative play as they interact with other children their age.     

 • Sibling Care—Quality childcare is available to provide a safe, caring and fun atmosphere for siblings not enrolled in daytime classes.

Discovery Time (click here to register)  2 years

Welcome to the wonderful world of two year olds! This is an important year of growth for both you and your child. Parent and child classes will focus on the cognitive, language, social emotional and large/fine motor skills that your child is developing. This is a separating class.

 

Wildcat Exploreres  (click here to register) 2 - 5 years

Follow your child’s curiosities as they experience engaging centers. Participate in a circle time filled with songs and movement followed by play time in our gym. This class follows the format for a typical ECFE class. We look forward to seeing you!

 

Parenting Your Preschooler (click here to register) 3-5 years 

ECFE is here to support our parents with preschoolers. Whether you’re currently attending preschool and want a supplemental experience, or you’re a family with preschoolers at home, this class offers parent- child fun and activities in a supportive social environment. Children will engage in age appropriate activities in the classroom and in our preschool gym. Parent discussion focuses on themes around the development of preschoolers and ways we can support that development. Please bring a nut free lunch for your child. Mealtime provides a wonderful opportunity for your child to exercise their independence and social skills with their peers while at ECFE.

ECFE Bridge to Preschool (click here to register)  29 months-4 years

A unique blend of parent-child time and peer group interaction offering an introductory preschool experience. Children working toward toilet training are welcome. Registration will be for the full school year with tuition divided equally Sept-May.

Parent-Child Day: There is one Parent/Child day per week when parents attend with their children. The first hour is an opportunity for play, modeling social interactions, and participating in your child’s learning. The second-hour parents separate for fun, educational parent discussions around supporting their child’s development. Sibling care is available. Parent day for 2 day am program is on Mondays.  Parent day for 2 day pm program is on Tuedays

Child-Only Day: This is a drop-off day where your child will interact with peers led by a licensed early childhood teacher. An introduction to basic skills along with music, a story, and gym/outdoor time are included each day.

Children will follow a typical preschool schedule and learn basic routines and expectations in preparation for preschool. Children working toward toilet training are welcome to attend. Parents will need to send a nut-free snack and drink to the morning Monday, Wednesday class and a nut free lunch and drink for the afternoon Tuesday, Thursday class. Mealtime provides a wonderful opportunity for your child to exercise their independence and social skills with their peers.

Child must be 29 months by September 1, 2024

1st months tuition will be collected at the time of registration in August.  Tuition payments will continue monthly October-May.

Mixed age Pop-in and Play (register here) 0-5 years

Come join us for Pop-In and Play! Come at the beginning and stay until the end, or pop in and out when it is convenient for you. Sensory and art
experiences will vary. Families can make social connections in a casual, fun setting. ECFE teachers will be on hand to join in on the fun and answer any child development questions you may have. No preregistration is necessary.

Granparenting Guidance The Art of Loving our Children’s Children (register here) 2-5 years

Calling all grandparents and their 2-5 year old grandchildren! Join us for support and camaraderie as you take on the role of a supportive adult in the life of your young grandchildren. Class time will focus on opportunities to explore activities together. Resources and information will be offered as described in the Intentional Grandparenting A Contemporary Guide book. Sibling care is available.
