WEB is a yearlong transition program with four main components that contribute to program success:
● Middle School WEB Leaders are staff-selected 8th graders who mentor our new students at a 6th-grade Welcome Orientation and throughout the year. 8th-grade students are selected through an application process.
● Academic Follow-ups - WEB Leaders support 6th-grade academic success and character development via lessons in Connect class.
● Social Follow-Ups - WEB Leaders and 6th-graders connect outside the classroom at social events and lunch visits to increase student engagement and promote a positive school climate.
● Leader Initiated Contacts - WEB Leaders connect with their 6th-grade students more individually at various times throughout the year.
