Thirty-six Waconia High School students will be taking part in the Minnesota State High School Trap Shooting Championship on June 15 in Alexandria, Minnesota.
The team has had a highly successful season, placing first in its conference, which includes teams from Mahtomedi, Mayer Lutheran, Kasson-Mantorville, Sleepy Eye, Dover-Eyota and Badger-Greenbush-Middle River High Schools.
The team has several of the top individual performers in the conference as well including Chase Britz (2nd), Carson Coil (3rd), Gavin Clark (5th), Brooks Specken (8th), Isiah Bartels (tied 16th) and Luke Britz (tied 16th). On the girls side, Evelyn Mickolichek (1st) and Leah Britz (9th) are also on the individual conference leaderboard.
